FAQ’s - About our Plastic Card & Key Tag Printing Services

We have compiled the following frequently asked questions to help you understand how our services work and how we can help you.

1. General Questions

Do I really receive an actual plastic card as a proof or just a PDF by email? Yes, we print some plastic cards or key tags which we send to you in the post so you can see exactly how they’ll look. These are printed on the same printing presses that your order will be produced on, using the same materials. What are your cards made from? They’re made from 100% plastic. Some of our competitors use a compressed cardboard core to reduce cost, we don’t and never will. Our plastic cards are as durable as the credit or debit card in your wallet or purse. Are your cards really printed in full colour on both sides? Yes, and whether we print on one side or both the price is the same. Take advantage of this and have a stunning card design. We can recreate spot or Pantone colours but we print these from CMYK. Can my cards have rounded corners? All our cards have rounded corners as standard - just like a credit or debit card. I’ve seen cards with a matt laminate, are these more expensive? All our cards are supplied with a gloss laminate as standard. Matt laminate is also available at no extra cost - just let us know which you prefer. If your cards have large areas of dark colour, say black or dark blue, we recommend a matt laminate, they look great. How long will it take to print my order? Your cards or key tags will be delivered 7 days after you’ve approved the final proof. Can I order cards without any extras? Yes, of course, our cards aren’t just used as membership cards, gift cards, loyalty cards or key tags, you can create your own without any extras and use them however you like. I’m ready to place an order, what do I do? Step 1.
Send your artwork to us by email and let us know how many cards you want.

Step 2.
We'll then send you an invoice by email. You can pay by credit/debit card, BACS or cheque.

Step 3.
Once the payment is completed, we’ll process your order, print some plastic cards or key tags and send them to you in the post.

Step 4.

After you’ve approved the proof, we will print your order and deliver it to you 7 days later.

2. Bar Codes, Magnetic Stripes & Other Options

l have some questions about bar codes / magnetic stripes / numbering / signature strips / embossing / card personalisation. We’ll talk to you without using jargon and answer as many questions as you can think of. I know all about the above, I just need your artwork guidelines. Can I have thinner plastic cards? Off course; our standard cards are 760 micron thick, the same as a debit or credit card. We also supply 420 and 680 micron cards. Just ask I cannot see what I want. What can I do? 3. Payment

How can I pay for my order? We accept all major credit and debit cards (except American Express). We also accept payment by BACS or by cheque. Do you charge a handling fee for card payments? No; there are no handling fees or any additional charges for card payments.

4. Despatch and delivery

When will my cards arrive? We will deliver your plastic cards or key tags 7 days after proof approval. For UK deliveries we use a next day courier so that your order arrives before 5:30pm the following working day. Please contact us for international deliveries. I need my cards faster, can you do it? We can normally do it for an additional charge, just ask.

5. Artwork guidelines and help with design

I’m supplying my own artwork, can I have your artwork guidelines? Yes, of course, here are our plastic card and key tag artwork guidelines. I’m new to all of this and can’t supply artwork, can you help? No problem. You can have beautifully designed cards from only £60, plastic cards request form.
